USED Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM II 2nd Gen .308 / 7.62 NATO – AA9627 – 16.25" – Black Stock

The Springfield Armory M1A SOCOM II 2nd Gen takes the classic M1A operating system and packages it into a compact 16.25-inch configuration built around the powerful 7.62x51 NATO / .308 Winchester cartridge. Model AA9627 combines a black composite stock with Springfield's distinctive SOCOM II rail system, providing extensive mounting space while retaining the traditional M1A action and handling characteristics.

The SOCOM II features a 16.25-inch, 1:11 twist barrel, two-stage military-style trigger, enlarged military aperture rear sight and an XS front sight originally specified with a tritium insert. Springfield's SOCOM configuration also uses a purpose-built muzzle brake designed specifically around the shortened barrel. Factory specifications list an overall length of approximately 37.25 inches. 

This example appears to be in very good condition and includes its original Springfield Armory box, owner's manual/paperwork, cable lock and one detachable magazine. The SOCOM II was later discontinued, distinguishing this AA9627 configuration from Springfield's current SOCOM 16 offerings.
